Combining my background as a research chemist at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, my long tenure as a college chemistry professor, my WSET Level 2 Award with Distinction in Wines, and everyone's fondness for food, I started my latest journey by teaching a well-loved “Kitchen Chemistry” class for my college students. Building on this success, I have expanded my reach as a speaker/entertainer on topics of food, wine, beer and more - combining science and great tastings for a general audience. My goal is always to increase enjoyment of the topic, while learning a little about why that food or beverage is so wonderfully unique.My talks are accompanied by suitable foods and/or beverages to demonstrate the distinctive scientific properties of the subject matter in a fun and interactive way. Topics include wine, beer, hard cider, cheese, apples, and chocolate to name a few. The possibilities are endless! I customize my talks to your specific requests and the type of audience.
