As the City Manager for Oak Ridge North, I serve as the Chief Executive Officer of our community. I oversee all city operations and ensure that the policies and visions set forth by our elected City Council are executed efficiently and effectively. Oak Ridge North operates under a Council-Manager form of government, where the City Council is responsible for representing the community, developing long-term goals, and establishing the policies that shape our city's future.In my role, I work closely with the Council to provide expert advice and insights, helping to shape and implement strategies that align with the city’s priorities. I also take the lead in preparing the city's annual budget for the Council’s review and approval, ensuring that fiscal responsibility is maintained while delivering essential services to our residents.Additionally, I oversee all municipal hiring, ensuring that we attract and retain talented professionals who are committed to serving the needs of our community. My role also involves building strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including businesses, community leaders, and residents, to foster a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable environment.With a focus on leadership, accountability, and transparency, I am committed to driving positive change and supporting Oak Ridge North's long-term success.

• Manage economic development activities, including economic development organizations agendas and meetings• Serve as point of contact for businesses in the community• Work with the City Manager and prospective businesses for the purpose of relocation and/or expansion, including grants and incentives• Manage marketing opportunities for the City and the ORNEDC• Coordinate the development of citywide budgets• Coordinate the development of policies and procedures• Resolve complex customer service issues • Develop, implement, interpret, and ensure compliance with rules and regulations, laws and codes, policies and procedures • Provide staff support to Council committees • Represent the City Manager at various board and commissions and at community meetings as directed • Prepare written and oral reports for management, boards and commissions and City Council• Manages interdepartmental teams regarding complex projects and studies, gathering and evaluating information and preparing and presenting reports and recommendations. • Assists in the development and implementation of citywide goals, objectives, policies, priorities and procedures• Coordinates preparation of grants and/or contracts

-Enable a sustainable business environment that encourages a consistent, quality economy that enriches the standard of living for residents and provides the necessary financial resources for the City through an expanded and diversified tax base.-Manage the ORN EDC 4B Corporation, whose role is to provide the guidance and funding for quality of life projects such as parks and aesthetics, and support economic development efforts through the City’s economic development program.-Manage the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) No. 1 and setup bylaws of the same.-Establish, develop, and maintain contacts and nurture working relationships with other economic development organizations.-Participate with City Manager and EDC Board in the development of the annual budget for ORNEDC.-Interface with the ORN City Council and other boards and commissions to work toward the common goal of promoting the quality development of the City.-Participate in the coordination of special events that focus on community involvement and quality of life within ORN.

-Responsible for maintenance of official records of the City.-Administer all City elections.-Coordinate all aspects of City meetings, including: agenda preparation, meeting packets, minutes, ordinances and resolutions.-Serve as Public Information Coordinator: provides records and information to citizens, civic groups, the media and other agencies as requested.-Serve as Human Resources Coordinator.

-Handle all new construction and property improvement coordination administration including: agendas, minutes and correspondence. -Manage builder and member submissions to the committee.-Responsible for maintenance of proper recording of documentation for Association guidelines including coordination with the First Colony Developer, Planned Community Developers, for updates. -Participated in planning and development phases for leisure aquatic center.-Created and managed a Volunteer Committee charged with providing community events and community outreach within the Association.-Assisted in coordination of strategic planning, development of the annual Work Plan budget and Communication Plan. -Direct support to the Executive Director; preformed research, drafted policy, composed memos & newsletter articles and completed special projects.
