Establish an advisory presence in which I develop strong relationships with potential and current students. As an Advisor that relationship consists of being student-focused and meeting with students face-to-face to establish career and academic goals. Advisement consists of career coaching, individual programmatic understanding, career assessment activities, state license requirements, financial aid applications, and coaching to responsible borrowing practices. As each students situation is unique, this role requires a strategic and broad knowledge base in various degree programs and career guidance. I have developed a strong and credible presence within the local campus as well as with executive leadership. I was recently elected to be the marketing voice for all 4 Utah campuses. I have spent several years in a Team Lead position; as Team Lead I have been responsible for promoting teamwork and facilitating training based on different key objectives passed down from leadership. Some of these objectives have consisted of motivation, student focus, establishing trend lines, programmatic accreditation, license requirements, and performance techniques. Created and developed training to assist Advisors in understanding how to work as a team and to remain student focused. General IT support for students with regard to applications, financial aid, and student websites.
