I am a Carleton University and Niagara College Nursing graduate who is currently working as a pharmacy assistant. With recent experience working in an in-patient mental health care facility. I have worked as a Pharmacy Assistant for the last 7 years which has helped prepare me for a wide range of challenges I may be faced with in other Health Care roles. Throughout my time in this position I have been able to gain a lot of knowledge while excelling in personal growth, by constantly taking on new tasks offered to me. I have had a number of experiences in leadership: from my former role as a residence assistant, to holding an executive position in an on campus organization. I was provided with extensive training in dealing with a large spectrum of situations. I also received certification in the following; non-violent crisis intervention, safe talk, and safe space. I am also WHIMIS, First aid and CPR trained standard level, as well as Mental Health First-Aid. Lastly would be my community involvement, both on campus and in the community ranging from Relay for Life to the Canadian and American Business conference. Overall I would describe myself as a hardworking, compassionate caring person with a lot of motivation to push myself above and beyond expectations. I have a strong ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast paced environment, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
