I love sharing stories with people. It helps me make sense of the world around me.I’m a painter, with some pieces in galleries throughout the region. Helps clear out wall space in tiny DC area homes!I practice music, even if I’m not the best at it. I grew up on piano and voice, but added violin, guitar, cello, and flute to the arsenal later in life.I’m a linguistics geek, but I never tell anyone what languages I speak.I’m a lot more introverted in real life than I come across on here. Yet when I say that, no one ever seems to believe me.I’m intensely loyal, to a fault.I’m trying my damnedest to enforce a better work-life balance, so that’s why I listed those first.For work, I’m just transferred from serving as a data engineer and software product deployment support for the Assistant Secretary of the Army (ASAALT) in the Pentagon. After a stop along the way as the Comms Director for HQDA G-3/5/7 Strategic Operations, I’m now the Deputy Director for Industry Engagement, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition & Sustainment).I’m also pursuing a longtime calling, finally having sworn in to the Army Reserve as a direct commission. For many years, the idea of CPT Price was always the best version of me, kind of an alter ego - and now I finally can find balance between being H and CPT Price as I look to our Values to guide me on this new journey.My mission in life is to become whatever the Army needs me to be. It’s not always easy, and I worry I’m not the best at it - but I’m always trying. The whole “hapless techie” thing has been an interesting journey to share with my readers, and I’ve appreciated - and needed - their encouragement along the way.I wonder what the Army will need of me next?So that’s me in a nutshell. I’m really just a regular person prone to unusual adventures here in Washington, with comically big dreams of making a meaningful contribution to our Army.
