Our group and I specialize in premises liability defense, including slip/trip/fall, false arrest/malicious prosecution/false imprisonment/false light, as well as product liability. Previously, I handled extensive insurance defense including automobile accidents -- both first and third party -- as well as premises liability, medical malpractice, general litigation concerning breach of contract and intentional tort, and UM/UIM claims. I also serve as an arbitrator in McHenry County and in other first party actions when invited to do so.

During my 15 years with SmithAmundsen, I began as a first level associate and was promoted within to partner as well as managing partner of SmithAmundsen's Woodstock, IL, suburban office. I handled civil litigation from inception at the claim level up to and including trial, both jury and bench. My practice focused on personal injury defense, UIM/UM claims, premises liability, retail, contract and intentional tort litigation.
