Successfully led and managed the implementation of an innovative regional project bringing together and sharing clinical guidelines through an online platform to primary care across the North East.Proudly enabled cross-organisational communication and engagement with stakeholders from all healthcare authorities in three Clinical Commissioning Group areas at every level, and extended collaboration to healthcare organisations in the surrounding areas of Cumbria, South Tyneside, Durham and Tees.

Experienced in handling a portfolio of work to successfully deliver numerous and wide-ranging IT clinical and non-clinical projects across Acute, Community and Mental Health NHS Trusts in the North East.Nominated for Northumbria Healthcare Staff Awards 2020 in individual and team categories.Career highlight: being a key member of the senior team leading on the Trustwide replacement of network links from N3 to HSCN - the largest, most complex, most challenging and most rewarding project I have worked on to date. Involving 4 simultaneous downtimes for 4 acute hospitals and numerous community settings across a large geographical area with huge resource, communications and emergency preparedness planning to enable safe overnight working. Very proud to deliver this successfully and just before COVID-19 restrictions were enforced, putting the network in the best possible position to be able to subsequently mobilise clinical and non-clinical agile working.Other key projects include:Virtual Consultations - managing the implementation of the Attend Anywhere platform immediately prior to COVID-19 which saw usage by clinicians escalate at great speed from approx. 6 consultations per week to 300 plus. Contacted by the Department of Health, as one of the most successful adopters of the technology, to advise of our experience to inform rapid national roll-out of the platform.Public WiFi - Trustwide rollout in acute and community settings of a WiFi solution - a 6 month project delivered in 6 weeks to secure £250k of funding.Digital Services department move - coordinating a seamless large scale move of approx. 120 staff and equipment moving across multiple sites on the same day.Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease app - working with a 3rd party supplier to build an innovative app for respiratory patients to manage their condition at home.VDI implementation in Outpatients and A&E settings.MS Office 365 stakeholder engagement and analysis.

Key achievements in managed projects:Led the procurement and subsequent implementation of a CISCO-based Trustwide Videoconferencing solution for clinical and corporate purposes incorporating room sets and agile devices. Enabled clinicians, for the first time, to attend virtually the Consultant-led 'Grand Rounds' - a monthly clinical forum - from their base site; consult with colleagues at other sites and patients in their home setting.Mobilised and managed a project team to deliver from scratch (including server commission, PAS integration into 3rd party solution, scanner installation, user training) a complete A&E patient notes scanning system in 15 days in readiness for the opening of Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital. Upwards of 1 million records now held in the system.

Led on the management and implementation of:Summary Care Record availability in Pharmacy and A&E departments across the Trust - working closely with NHS Digital and consistently achieving the highest usage statistics nationally during implementation.The first electronic and barcoded patient wristbands for adults, children & babies. Rolled out initially in A&E, Maternity & Special Care Baby Unit departments then rapidly extended to wards, Ambulatory Care and Day Surgery departments.Secure Removable Media - managing the procurement process and deployment of the first encrypted USB pens for Northumbria Healthcare staff.

Played a key role in the procurement and implementation of Northumbria Healthcare's first Integration Engine (Exceliport) and integrated electronic patient record system (Excelicare).

Managed a small team of information and training staff.Responsible for managing the Information & IT functions of the Trust to support local and national information strategies while facilitating closer working relationships with Social Services & GP practices.Monthly reporting to senior management in relation to contract performance, invoicing and statutory returns.Responsible Officer for Data Protection, Caldicott & IT Security policy.Deputised for Computer Services Manager and Assistant Manager and managed IT staff at such times.Played a key role in the procurement of the Trust's first integrated electronic patient record system - RIO.

Responsible for system administration of clinical systems including the Trust's Patient Records, Substance Misuse and Needle Exchange databases.Assisted in setting up the first IT Training suite for the Trust.Led change management from DOS-based systems to GUI-based.Designed and delivered the Trust's first IT training - WordPerfect 6.1, MS Word, Outlook and IE.Liaised with Community Psychiatric Nursing staff, Psychologists and Psychiatrists to collate activity data.Liaised with Northumberland and Out of Area GP practices for fundholding activity for Community Psychiatric Nursing and Psychology Services.
