- Scheduled and coordinated physicians’ surgeries, along with obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies and communicating with their patients all the necessary information for surgery.- Assisted patients at the check-out point, ensuring that they received a follow up appointment, and any information regarding their treatment plan.- Acted as the main coordinator between patient and physician when patients called for clinical information, responsible for responding back to patient concerns in a timely manner regarding paperwork and/or patient care.- Screened calls and directed messages/faxes to the appropriate parties, making sure faxes with requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.- Additional responsibilities as being a power user, acting as internal support when there are complications/questions regarding the new Athena Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

- Greeted and assisted people coming into and out of the office, such as distributed the proper paperwork to patients.- Responsible for batching out the copayments at the end of each day, and storing batch outs until security arrives to retrieve them.- Responsible for creating, pre-registering and obtaining accurate demographic information.- Obtain eligibility of benefits and prior authorization for treatment.- Registered patients for x-rays, while also assisting the administration on updates to patients’ charts through the Eagle EMR system.
