My background has always been in healthcare and medical research. This led me to a career as a community based Occupational Therapist within the private sector. This career allowed me to practice in urban, suburban rural and industrial areas such a Fort McMurray. In this role, I came across many workplace injuries. Individuals had suffered significant injuries; often in preventable situations. As my experience and role changed over time, I transitioned into more leadership roles. The opportunity with SafetyLine presented itself and appeared to be a great fit. I could leverage not only my leadership experience, but I could also use my experience in healthcare and workplace injuries to gain a better understand of what my clients needed. Most importantly, I am now in a position where I can help prevent the workplace injuries that I previously treated. I am passionate about being able to be proactive and preventative in healthcare and safety.I currently live on Vancouver Island with my two wonderful little boys. We are an active family that enjoys the outdoors by skiing, hiking and spending our summers on the water.
