About Heather Willson

There are things you do because they feel right and they may make no sense and they may make no money and it may be the real reason we are here: to love each other and to eat each other's cooking and say it was good. -- Brian AndreasWorking with people and food are two of my favorite things! All of my work (and play) with Software Freedom School, the Philippi Center, and Share Good Foods allow me to serve people with and in love!Software Freedom School (sofree.us) is a group of friends who work and play together, developing a deeper understanding and greater skill-set with what Richard M. Stallman calls Free Software. We create immersive, hands-on learning experiences that look like fun to us and then open them to others, for free when we can, or for the lowest sustainable price when we can’t. Our passion and purpose is to bring curious people together to play and learn and build new friendships.Currently, we specialize in Linux, and dabble in many things: Zimbra, WordPress, LibreOffice, Big Blue Button, Blender, Ruby, and Python. We plan to expand into freedom-friendly SBC’s like the Raspberry Pi and Beagle Bone Black.

They are creatures which live in the here and now, but somehow magically transport our emotions to worlds unknown.Their size, their power under restraint, their grace and beauty, all charm us into a state of awe.
