Indiana University School Of Education Aug 2014 - Aug 2019

My overall objective with any of the work I do is to improve the overall operations and services by examining systems and processes in order to simplify, modernize, and meet the goals of my office as effectively as possible. Under my current job title, I've seen my position evolve significantly in order to address the changing needs of our office. Originally my role was developed to help two separate offices (Office of Early Field Experiences and Office of Student Teaching) become one cohesive office called the Office of Clinical Experiences. As part of that project, I oversaw the restructuring of our office staff with new job descriptions and shifts in job duties; I revised all of our web and print materials; and I assisted our directors in adjusting policies and procedures as needed. I also served as the primary point of contact for questions from students and other collaborators, and coordinated and led staff and director meetings. In response to the adoption of a new student teaching assessment process and some consolidation of staffing, I now serve as a key point of contact and co-coordinator regarding the logistics and administration of program-specific early field and student teaching experiences for 15 education programs. I also serve as administrator and central contact for our student teaching assessment management tool (Taskstream), and coordinate the assessment management for early field experiences and student teaching. I remain the communications manager, and still create and manage all of our office communications including web content, printed quick start guides for students, teachers, and university supervisors, evaluation forms, informational materials, and other documents as needed. This role recently included the development of Canvas resources for our audiences as well as some consultation for other in-house Canvas courses currently used or being developed.
