I am a sophomore at Bates and a Biochemistry major on the pre-med track at Bates College. During high school I devoted 2.5-years on research into the effects of the pandemic on young teens' facial recognition abilities. This research project was driven by a desire to understand the real-world impacts of widespread mask-wearing on adolescent cognitive development.Throughout this project, I applied the scientific method, and consulted with professors across seas to discuss methodologies and analyses. I methodized and programmed a cognitive facial recognition test, conducting an online experiment to gather data. Presenting my findings to a school board was a gratifying experience, highlighting the importance of scientific inquiry in understanding and addressing real-world challenges.In addition to my academic pursuits, I possess a strong background in Adobe software and video editing. Having collaborated with video production companies, I have honed my skills in creating compelling visual content. Notably, my Instagram account showcasing my video edits has garnered a following of over 40,000 individuals, reflecting my ability to captivate and engage audiences through multimedia storytelling.Looking ahead, I am eager to continue exploring the realms of medicine, tech, and multimedia production.
