CurrentThe vision for Sync Space Entrepreneur Center began with the alignment of the public and private business community of Northeast Tennessee to address the economic future of the region. Sync Space is the LaunchTN partner in Northeast Tennessee, and a regional entrepreneurial hub providing local and recruited startups a pathway to implementation into the economic fabric of our region.• Built a growing regional Business Partnership with 28 regional businesses to develop pipelines for market engagement, pilots, and contracts for entrepreneurs• Developed collaboration among 7 regional colleges/universities including induction into the Distinguished President’s Trust at ETSU• Created partnership with Northeast State Community College and the RCAM to create a protocol for training, quality and operational systems• Led implementation of $600k public-private partnership to develop the Inventor Center as the region’s first makerspace• Development of the Innovation Village, an advanced manufacturing sub-ecosystem including the development of incubator, co-working & digital media workspaces • Assisted in capital program resulting ~$1.5 million in private investments to local companies• Created $2 million+ in market engagement opportunities for entrepreneurs including pilots, contracts and research• Built coalition and deployed $150k through the “Restart Accelerator” to accelerate innovative solutions to aid small business during the COVID-19 Pandemic• Joint Venture with Bundled, a Tennessee based, Rise of the Rest recognized program for innovation, to expand integration into Sync Space accelerator programs• Development of RFP training program with major corporate partner designed to engage minority-owned and female owned businesses in the vendor selection process• Partner with ETSU on the STRIVE Veteran Entrepreneurial Program which has recruited >60 veterans into the entrepreneurial pipeline • >300 startups assisted with an average of ~40% being female founders
