I navigate complex global organizations to create environments where people can connect, belong and grow. Over the last decade I have created partnerships and engaging experiences for audiences around the world to help them create social impact and reach their full potential. My initiatives have benefited military veterans, women, professional athletes, Native Americans, LGBTQ+ professionals and the diverse global workforces of both the largest professional services organization and the largest consumer bank. I was very fortunate to begin my professional career in 2007 at The White House, where I worked in the offices of Strategic Initiatives and Presidential Correspondence for President George W. Bush. After the administration, I served in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Department of Energy before ultimately deciding to continue my career by making an impact in the private sector. In my decade at Deloitte, I was thrilled with the diversity of work opportunities, serving internal and external clients. One highlight of my career was serving as the Veteran Transition Leader, which included leading the CORE programs for transitioning military veterans and service members to enable them to translate their experience to a business context and discover fulfilling civilian careers. These programs were scaled to reach new audiences at Deloitte University, college campuses, military bases, and conferences across the US and Canada. My experience culminated in becoming the Chief of Staff to the Chief Inclusion Officer where I also led the inclusion and well-being learning and development teams. As of July 2021, I lead diversity, equity and inclusion for the Chase brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co. Supporting over 130,000 employees around the world in 14 lines of business, I work across the firm to support underserved communites, drive inclusion, and hire, retain and develop diverse talent. My career is enriched by serving as an Expert in Residence at Carnegie Mellon University, advising students on the intersection of CSR, D&I, and policy, and volunteering and consulting for nonprofits that support my career passion of workforce development. This includes serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of two organizations - Out for Undergrad and Texas Native Health. My "home" time is shared between Dallas, New York City, and a recently purchased cabin in West Virginia. Pre-COVID, I spent a significant amount of time fueling my passion for travel. I have traveled to over 100 countries since 2011 and these experiences influence my work every day.
