My current role at Myer is primarily focused on the integration of data into our Data Warehouse. I have worked to design, implement and maintain new and simplified data ingestion processes into Google BigQuery. This has helped drive an acceleration of the decommission of legacy reporting platforms and enable a large breadth of data sources to be ingested into our Data Lake.I also work heavily within Microstrategy, modelling data and building the objects required to then design reports and dashboards to meet business information requirements.Main responsibilities include:- Work with technical and business teams to recommend Business Intelligence & Data Modelling processes as well as strategies to address business challenges through subject matter expertise, architectural skills & industry knowledge.- Design and maintain data integration processes for the Google BigQuery Data Lake in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).- Design and implement Reports and Dashboards on the Microstrategy Platform, enabling business users to uncover actionable insights within the data.- Work with external vendors to integrate a variety of data sources into the Myer Data Lake.- Manage full pipeline of GCP deployments through GIT and Jenkins, leveraging Python and Shell scripts, alongside jinja and yaml templates.- Build robust monitoring to uncover data related issues in an efficient manner.- Maintain the Microstrategy Platform within GCP to ensure the application is up to date and performing efficiently.- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Team to proactively implement changes to improve data availability and reduce ongoing support requirements.

- Team Leader for the Delivery Operations Technical Team.- Work on a consultative level with internal Stakeholders to define business requirements, establish delivery frameworks and ultimately manage implementation of business critical data related changes.- Develop and support data integration processes for several Data Warehouses (TM1, SQL Server, MicroStrategy) using tools including MS SSIS.- Design and develop data and reporting solutions through Power BI and other reporting tools.- Design and develop REST API’s to support application and reporting requirements.- Identify and scope out opportunities to move Data Warehouses and transactional databases to cloud platforms. - Manage Google Analytics query deployments in GCP BigQuery through Python deployment pipelines.- Drive ways of working to help move the Delivery Operations Technical Team towards a more agile approach.- Write and maintain technical documentation to support product releases and increase knowledge base.- Identify and champion opportunities to migrate on premise applications to Cloud based systems.- Monitor systems and triage/investigate/escalate issues for applications and reporting systems.- Collaborate with the Delivery Operations Technical Team to proactively implement changes to improve application stability and reduce ongoing support requirements. - Provide software, hardware, server and network support for the Myer Point of Sale system.- Develop monitoring tools to streamline continuous improvement and triage data issues, predominantly applications with AWS infrastructure, and including MS Azure and GCP.

My roles during this time were focused on providing support for several applications across the IT portfolio. I had responsibility for development and support of data integration processes for several Data Warehouses (TM1, SQL Server, MicroStrategy) using tools such as MS SSIS. A primary focus for me was as the technical lead for the TM1 Reporting System, providing expertise in report development and responsibility for the data integrity of the platform.I supported a number of bespoke applications (mostly utilising AWS based data services), and a large array of in-house Microsoft based applications. My roles also included support of other business critical systems such as the Myer ePOS system.My main areas of focus were:• Providing technical consultation and troubleshooting support to customers for various products and/or solutions.• Design, develop and implement technical solutions to meet customer needs.• Monitor systems and triage issues.• Perform Root Cause Analysis to help reduce recurring problems.• Develop monitoring tools to streamline the support function.• Pro-actively identify and implement changes to improve application stability and reduce ongoing support requirements. • Write and edit technical documentation to support product releases and increase knowledge base.The roles included adherence to general ITIL practices around change management, service operation and continuous improvement. I was also been seconded to work on a number of high-profile projects during this period, where I performed the following roles:• Data Specialist on a project focused on converting Myer's accounting methodology from Retail Inventory Method to Weighted Average Cost method.• Data Specialist on a project delivering an iOS application to store based team members targeted at streamlining laborious business processes.My project experience was across a range of project management styles, including agile and traditional waterfall.

Initially focussed on Business Intelligence, my role evolved to include all facets of data related activities at HWT. My role included secondments across Australia to consult on reporting and data issues relating to the implementation of a national circulation system. My focus then moved to streamlining day to day operations, managing a small team of analysts and supporting the Business Intelligence requirements of the Victorian operations unit.

My role was focussed on growing the Business Intelligence capabilities within the Circulation Department at HWT. This included consultation towards and assisting in the implementation of a new circulation reporting environment which was later adopted as a national benchmark. The role also included building up and maintaining a GIS database of newsagency territories to be used in conjunction with Census data to align newspaper sales information to demographic data.

The focus of this role was to analyse data to plan, develop and execute strategies to deliver improved prospecting capabilities for external clients.
