How do we ensure music—and musicians—a central place in contemporary society? How do we teach students to be proponents for the role of music and musicians? Success will require being purposeful, proactive, responsive, and positively influencing others. In other words, leadership development.

Empowering music professionals, helping them take control of their identities, giving them the tools to be relevant in the music industry and to make contributions to society, and thereby, to create fulfilling and successful careers.

Supporting the alumni of the Sistema Fellows Program to further the development of the El Sistema-inspired field in the US. Facilitating their ongoing training to increase their capacity as leaders, creating additional resources for their initiatives, and amplifying their learning to benefit the growing field.

Preparing 10 exceptional individuals each year to make significant and sustainable contributions to the emerging field of El Sistema-inspired activity in the US, contributing knowledge and resources in support of El Sistema-inspired programming in development throughout the world.
