About Heath Morrison

Enthusiastic for technology and people, I've built my 28-year career around recognizing and developing opportunities presented by both. I have deep and varied technology expertise with a long history of bridging technology and domain experts in small and growing businesses. - Diverse technology background with over 28 years of experience in software development, system design, web technology, data processing, devops, game development, and more. - Substantial product experience, partnering with domain experts across many fields to design and build meaningful products and solutions using software and technology. - Inspirational business leader, emphasizing empathy and open, honest communication as non-negotiable components of teams and companies. Experienced in strategic planning, organizational change, and negotiations.Since 2016 I have focused on health tech, contributing to a series of startups and products related to healthcare in the US. This has notably included doxy.me, a widely used telehealth platform that saw exponential growth during the pandemic. Throughout this time I have published with my academic partners a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals on the the topics of health history, data collection, and interface design. Other products in our suite include Dokbot.io and ItRunsInMyFamily.com, both focused on the collection and analysis of health data. Previously I focused on connecting technology to social causes and movements, with a particular focus on Ukraine and anti-corruption activism. During this time I collaborated closely with Transparency International and other civil society organizations. In 2014 I cofounded GovRight, a small international organization dedicated to involving citizens in the governmental process with a particular focus on legislative reform. GovRight launched citizen participation projects to tens of thousands of contributors across over 10 countries, with funding and support from USAID, EED, and USIP.**Most importantly**, I am a highly motivated and relentlessly optimistic contributor to the projects and causes that I select. I believe very strongly that our best work is done when we are both intellectually and emotionally committed to the tasks we undertake. I make that sort of commitment to my work, and seek to inspire those around me to do the same.
