In this role, I looked after all of the marketing at Axess Systems. I relished the challenge of applying marketing techniques that didn’t just focus on the specifications of technology but on the benefits the technology could achieve for people, IT leaders, and their teams. From writing the copy for all of our campaigns and developing the online advertising to organising and presenting at our seminars, this diverse role got me involved in all aspects of the business.Working in desktop virtualisation and IaaS meant the technology was constantly evolving. However, our core message of being able to deliver your IT to any device in any location, and the benefits that brings, remained the same. It went without saying that Axess Systems are the best people to help you design, install, and support these systems.

Joining as the Marketing Manager and in my first role in IT, I faced a very steep learning curve. Despite this, I could immediately see the opportunity to make a significant difference.

I have held hockey coaching positions at club, county and regional levels.With a passion for getting young people to play sport, I founded the Derwent Hockey Academy. This has seen over 150 boys take up hockey since we first started.I have held coaching roles for Matlock Hockey in the Women's Midlands Premier League and Derwent Hockey Men's 1st Team. As well as club hockey, I also coached at a representative level. This included a stint as Head Coach for the Derbyshire Junior Academy Centre (JAC). From 2011 to 2013 and again in 2015, I was an assistant coach at the England Hockey Junior Regional Performance Centre (JRPC) - Nottingham. This enabled me to work with high-performance junior athletes while delivering coaching alongside international coaches.

As the marketing lead for the UK division of a global group specialising in innovative temporary structures and event overlay, I managed all marketing activities relating to temporary event structures.This role saw me participate in initial discussions with the overlay team for London 2012 and lead direct and personalised campaigns to introduce our unique structures to major event organisers. This work resulted in providing specialised event structures for notable events and clients, including Formula 1, Silverstone, Lawn Tennis Association, Twickenham Stadium, and the Royal Household, highlighting the versatility and capability of our offerings in meeting the needs of high-profile events.
