Leads efforts to manage and improve Disaster Recovery, High Availability and System Resiliency by working with Program Areas to provide the best possible recovery and resiliency options. Works closely with the Office of Continuity and Records Information Management to make sure Continuity of Operations and Information Technology Recovery and Resiliency are aligned with CoOP Plans.

Serves as a senior advisor and leader with an emphasis on operations and management, customer service and digital experience, aligning business strategies to IT investments, managing and protecting technology assets and leading key projects impacting policy priorities.

Provide strategy, direction, and guidance on the establishment of enterprise-wide Information Technology enterprise services. Responsible for planning, architecting, directing, evaluating, and controlling a portfolio of operational responsibilities related to the management of enterprise data center facilities, networks, and IT systems such as servers and storage. Align a strategic technology vision with execution of tactical activities to drive achievement of related goals. Establish and provide services from a documented Service Catalog for Commonwealth agencies including IT security operations. Proactively improve the availability and quality of relevant IT services and operational results.

Provide direction and guidance on Information Technology services. Responsible for oversight, planning, directing, evaluating, and controlling the technology and operations of the enterprise for managed compute, client compute, network, data management, and systems management. Align the technology and services needs within the enterprise to the vision, strategy, and roadmap established by the Commonwealth’s CIO and CTO. Oversee all information technology systems in this grouping – from the simplest, to the most complex – including all interfaces and exchanges required to deliver a successful solution to the enterprise.

Field engineer/consultant responsible for server, laptop. desktop and printer repair. I also worked on a long term engagement with Armstrong World Industries upgrading all North American users from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95 as well as providing user support and server administration.
