As ROV Pilot, under direct supervision, working mostly on the PERRY SLINGSBY ROV systems, i am responsible for: • adhere to the HSE policy in place; • performing the system´s corrective maintenance as required; • performing the system´s PMs as required by schedule; • generating technical and safety orientated reports as necessary; • maintaining the whole workplace clean and tidy, still observing the HSE policy in place; • launching and recovering the ROV through the LARS (LAUNCH AND RECOVERY SYSTEM); • piloting the ROV as directed; • using the manipulators (SCHILLING ROBOTICS RIG MASTER, CONAN, ORION, T3, and T4) as necessary; • maintaining, integrating and using the ROV TOOLING as necessary (TORQUE TOOLs, HOT-STABs, GASKET TOOLs, GRINDERs, WIRE BRUSHEs, CUTTERs and so on).MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT:I was proudly part of the team that performed successfully the THUNDERHORSE FIELD POS-HURRICANE REMEDIATION PROJECT. The THUNDERHORSE PDQ platform, located in the Gulf of Mexico, USA, was found listing after being severely hitted by the hurricane DENNIS, and the whole oil field had to be shunt. After our inspections and interventions in 2006, the rig was righted up, the subsea damages were fixed, and the field went back online. Currently, this field produces about 250 thousand barrels per day of oil, and 200 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.I have, during this time, heavily operated in the scenarios of IRM, CONSTRUCTION, PIPE-LAY, DIVE SUPPORT, SURVEY, DECOMMISSIONING, SEARCH & RESCUE, and SALVAGE work.

The D&M (DRILLING & MEASUREMENTS) division provides drilling services to the oil & gas industry, and it´s services relies on four departments: • MWD – Measurements While Drilling tools; • LWD – Logging While Drilling tools; • DIRECTIONAL DRILLING – Tools that changes the direction of the drill-bit while drilling; • SURFACE ACQUISITION SYSTEM – Receives and interpretates the signals from the above downhole tools.As the D&M Brazil didn´t have the Surface Acquisition System department yet in place, the field operators, or the MWD / LWD / DIRECTIONAL technicians would have to perform all the activities of a Surface Acquisition System technician. And yet, there was a lack of knowledge and expertise by these technicians in regards to the Surface Acquisition System.I was chosen then from the MWD team to import the department from Schulumberger´s facility in Lafayette LA, USA to the facility in Brazil. In order to do that, i have done a lot of back and forth travel, working and learning a lot with the Surface Acquisition System technicians in the USA, and implementing the procedures, the infra structure, the culture and the methods of that department in the brazilian facility. As a result, the Schlumberger D&M Brazilian facility was finally compliant with it´s global standard, all the Surface Acquisition System equipment become trakeable, the Surface Acquisition system department become auditable, the MWD, LWD and DIRECTIONAL technicians could focus on their roles, and the field operators had their pre mobilization workload reduced in 80%.

MWD – Measurements While Drilling tools are computer based tools that enters the oil-well during the drilling process, and can perform a series of measurements, such as weight and torque, and also is responsible for the powering and the telemetry of the downhole tools. My role as an MWD technician is: • to adhere to the HSE policy in place; • to keep the MWD shop clean and tidy; • to perform corrective maintenance, either on electronics or mechanics on the tools as necessary; • to perform the PMs as per the schedule; • to make the tool available to go offshore as requested by the operations management; • to maintain an accurate record of the tool parts inventory and ordering them as necessary; • to generate thechnical reports as necessary; • to comply with the company´s competency scheme.

Responsabilities:Responsible for, under direct supervision, operate systems of ROV’s (Remote Operated Vehicle), in a safe and efficient manner, and maintaining and repairing all electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and sub-systems associated with ROVs, including component repair, replacement and troubleshooting. Ensure the operations of assigned ROV projects are conducted safely, efficiently and to the company and the client’s satisfaction.Navigating and piloting to and from the worksite; Installed manipulators operations, ensure all Preventive and general maintenance is undertaken in accordance with procedures; understand and applying emergency procedures as required; manages it´s own development and competency.
