When I interned at Cybirical, I had a large role in designing and creating the software by which Cybirical tracks critical vulnerabilities in ICS devices. My main tools were the Python language and theDjango framework. Besides creating that software, I also did some penetration testing andreverse engineering on real, running ICS devices in search of vulnerabilities. Otheraccomplishments that summer include Mercurial server configuration, SQL database work,and a visit to a power generation site.

I assisted graduate students with their research efforts. I conducted digital forensic investigations for local law enforcement and created fictional criminal scenarios for a Cyber Discovery summer camp funded by the U.S. DoD. My personal research interests included mobile device forensics and sound forensic analyses on solid state drives. Two of my employees were former Department of Defense employees. I was also exposed to industrial control systems, malicious application detection, and the Linux OS.
