Director of College Placements and GuidanceA. Counseling• Oversees and maintains a counseling load of approximately 165 high school seniors ( IB) and 170 juniors transitioning to International Colleges in the UK, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Spain, Singapore and the USA.• Develops and implements strategies for college school visits, interviews, open houses, student reviews, parent sessions, college essay writing, testing (PSAT, SAT), college trips and various workshops.• Primary lead presenter for Pre-IB and Senior Seminar Series – How to Apply to College/University.• Serves as IISB’s College Counseling Centre liaison to international scholarships.• Maintains and submitted all students applications for the British UCAS System. B. Administrative• Prepares and submit pertinent data and reports to the IISB’s Principal and CEO.• Assists with IISB’s various programs and Counseling initiatives, as well as Admissions presentations.• Lead counselor instructing International Teachers on how to write Teacher Letters of Recommendations.• Guides students in the application process of scholarships—class of 2019: $5.94 million; class of 2018: $4.3 million; class of 2017: $4.6 million; class 2016 received $ 4.5 million; 2015 $5.0 million dollars.• Leads a team of four counselors and an assistant

Counseling• Maintains a counseling load of approximately 70 high school (AP and CIE, CNCC) juniors and seniors transitioning to International Colleges in the UK, Canada and the USA.• Develops and implements strategies for college school visits, interviews, open houses, student reviews, parent sessions, college essay writing, testing, college trips and various workshops.• Accompanied students on BNDS USA tour (June 2013).• Primary counselor for Senior Seminar Series -- Surviving First Year in College.• Serves as BNDS’s College College Counselling Centre liaison to international scholarships.• Maintains and submits A Level students applications for the British UCAS System.B. Administrative * Assisted in preparation of all required reports for NYS, Rensselaer and other funding sources. * Monitored and maintained select project data, such as tutoring, counseling and financial resources for research studies and project reports for HEOP, Vanguard and NACME. D. Research and Development * Assisted in data collection on students and specified project components to be used in the development of academic summaries, retention, persistence, and enrollment records, professional career / graduate school entry, and other areas critical to student success and graduation. E. Financial Aid * Monitored student financial aid awards, scholarships, and accounts with the Office of Financial Aid.
