Hector is the Assistant Vice President of Special Projects and a CIS Staff consultant with over two decades of experience focusing on security department operations, premises liability mitigation, reclaiming and rehabilitating high-crime communities, advising residential property management companies on crime prevention issues, school security, and protection of houses of worship.As an experienced premises liability practitioner Hector has assisted numerous multi-family management companies all across the United States. He has trained managers and employees on preventing and identifying potential liability risks and how to develop mitigative strategies in regards to safety and security foreseeability. Hector has also assisted clients in policy development and training on mitigating and documentation in response to a high liability incident. Hector has received the designation of a Florida Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Practitioner (FCP), which was awarded by the Florida Attorney General's Office through the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute. Hector assists multi-family owners to conduct CPTED & Security assessments to strengthen their crime prevention posture and to assist Florida owners with HB 837 compliance. Hector is also very passionate about addressing social disorders and how to build social capital in living communities. The community must be a part of the solution in addressing crime and social decay.Hector also assists developers, investment firms, and management companies during due diligence to assess the property and surrounding community. This assists the clients in having a better understanding of potential crime, safety, and security risks prior to closing. Mr. Rodriguez joined Critical Intervention Services in 2003 as a protection officer and progressively rose through the ranks serving in every leadership position until his promotion to Chief of Uniformed Services in 2012. In 2019, Hector was promoted to Vice President of Protective Services and assumed responsibility for the operations of several hundred security officers, field supervisors, and dispatch center personnel. In this capacity, Hector provided senior direction of all aspects of CIS operations including hiring, training, disciplinary action, protective deployment design & implementation, development & review of standard operating procedures, and liaison with law enforcement agencies. He served clients with protective services in the sectors of education, multi-family/HOA communities, manufacturing, utilities, retail, and commercial.
