Responsible for assisting with marketing functions for the AIM listed software group. In essence, my work centered on one goal. To increase awareness of the 5 software solutions by accurately outlining the gains they bring to businesses (typically large businesses such as IHG, Chevron and ING). Within my team of five, I had responsibility for three things. Content writing, typically within software products; curating and developing the five group website; and campaign rollout. I also assisted with events preparation, which included introduction letters, email campaigns and a series of white papers - largely business centric research guides that explain how software can meet a particular business challenge effectively and ensure it operates efficiently (see attached). This role also extended into the digital space with the creation of a group website, ongoing creation of a number of blogs for client interaction and leading the movement towards a more QMS focused workspace with the introduction of Sharepoint.

As a staff writer I produced a number of original features, interviews and reviews for the music promotion and management company. The digital music company's focus was on "up and coming" artists and promotion of nights at popular clubs around London, festivals across Europe and the lucrative club scene in Ibiza. We also began creating music events at large venues, predominantly in the North West of England, though also in the capital and around Europe.

This role involved liaising with DJ’s, club owners and promoters to build the brand and grow the market share from the ground up. It involved writing up biographies for current artists, creating press releases and writing reviews for various publications. During my time as editor-in-chief, Evissa Soul moved from an idea to holding various prestigious residencies across London including clubs such as ‘Cargo’ ‘McQueen’ and ‘Viva’.

My responsibilities included working closely with a range clients to help them achieve the best return for their ongoing marketing investment. This included forming a close business relationship with clients; understanding and fulfilling their needs, often on tight budgets.This role also demanded concise reporting techniques and relational ROI, maximising exposure with wide reaching campaigns. During my time at Hills Balfour, my team re-won the contract for the New York tourist board, one of their biggest clients, which used a PR stunt my team developed to great success.

In my first role in the city, I worked closely with the CEO of an agile start-up based in West London. My role of creative lead revolved around interpreting his ideas and developing strategy, then working with teams on the ground to ensure this strategy was followed. I was the first point of contact for many of the teams, including translators for the European market, and reported directly to the CEO with any potential problems. I also led the creation of marketing collateral, digital copy for the website and a number of technical datasheets to explain the complex nature of materials in an easy-to-understand format.
