I've always been an entrepreneur at heart. First growing up in my parents farm and hotel businesses, then as a Plant Manager and COO of a growing South American plastic manufacturer, and finally as Managing Partner of an upstart plastic packaging manufacturer in the U.S. The first I helped to grow from $17 million to $180 million in a ten year span. The last, we started from scratch and grew to $45 million in 14 years prior to selling the business. I have always enjoyed the operational side of the business, but as all entrepreneurs I also enjoy working closely with customers, as I strongly believe businesses must be structured around customer needs.In all my experiences I have always enjoyed Engineering. From my BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University, to applying the concepts and calculations even as Operations Manager. Teaching has also been a passion of mine. When I first started my MS at Cornell, my dream was to be a professor. Although my entrepreneurial dreams eventually proved stronger, I have always enjoyed teaching my employees through either mentoring or formal courses that I would develop.
