In my EFL career, I started off as a teacher of English in Portugal, then Egypt, Colombia (where I climbed the first rung), Ecuador as Director of Studies, Jordan as a Teaching Centre Manager and did the same in Venezuela, Spain (Barcelona) and Italy (Milan).I then was brought back to the UK to our head office to work on 'projects'. I then took early retirement and as the kids had either finished 6th form or had done their GCSEs....it was time to get back overseas again. I worked for 6 years as Director of Studies at International House, Bogota and then worked freelance at Colombian universities as an EFL teacher and as an EAP teacher for British universities (in Bogota, face to face) and I have, for many years, been preparing and continue to prepare students for international English language examinations. Since the pandemia, I have mainly been delivering my classes using Zoom.Specialties: Teacher education.EFL examiner.Preparing students for international English examinations.Financial planning and marketing.Project management.Union negotiation as a Branch Executive Committee member of PCS.
