With more than 20 years of experience in his field in providing passenger-focused service, Hector Mariscal serves as lead Metra train conductor in Chicago. He collects fares and provides timely information on commute delays and safety issues as they occur. Maintaining close coordination with the engineer, Hector Mariscal also gives precautions as necessary about train speed and other issues integral to keeping the passengers and train safe. Attending the Mcarrell Christian Academy in Cicero, Illinois, in the early 1990s, Mr. Mariscal was part of a tight-knit academic community tied to the Cicero Bible Church. A four year starting member on the basketball team, he also started on the soccer team and took part in Christian youth activities that instilled strong moral values. Mr. Mariscal presently holds elected responsibilities as vice president of the railroad-related Local 653 Union. He and his family also maintain an active presence with the Parkview Church in Orland Park. Hector Mariscal’s community-focused activities have included teaching Bible study groups and performing with the men’s singing group.
