Advised 19 incumbent and challenger congressional campaigns in AR, AZ, FL, KY, ME, NE, NH, NC, OH, and VA on effective persuasion and targeting strategies for field, digital, and mail outreach programs.Conducted over a dozen polls on competitive congressional races across over 10 states, from drafting scripts to sampling and weighting the results to match the projected electorate.Provided data-informed advice and presented relevant analytics and polling information to senior leadership and other staff members.

Spent five months immersed in an indigenous community in Chiapas, learning the culture, traditions, and language (Tseltal).Wrote press releases, blog entries, and social media posts for the Movement in Defense of Life and Land (MODEVITE, in Spanish).Co-organized and promoted a massive street demonstration to demand that Mexico's electoral authorities recognized the Tseltals' right to self-determination and establishment of a communal government, without political parties.Provided humanitarian assistance (food, clothes) to forcibly displaced indigenous people in the municipality of Chalchihuitán, in collaboration with the local Parish and Doctors Without Borders.

Worked with local partners to design an intervention with at-risk youth in Acapulco (one of the most violent cities in the world) and several towns in the state of Michoacán.Built and strengthened relations with and between CRS Mexico's implementing partners, as well as other peacebuilding and advocacy organizations.Designed a one-year research agenda on seasonal migrant agricultural workers in Mexico. Said research would inform CRS Mexico's next steps in the area.

Briefed the Undersecretary with key information for his 20+ work visits to the U.S. and Canada, to defend the interests of Mexico and of Mexicans abroad.Monitored the U.S. election and developed notes and memos for the Undersecretary.Wrote and edited speeches for the Undersecretary and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.Generated maps with publicly available U.S. Census demographic data to identify counties with high concentration of migrants and/or Mexicans in the United States.

Supervised the maintenance and updates of the PRAXIS website and blog (Wordpress).Reviewed and edited authors' submissions to the journal.

Created a computer model (using MS Excel) to estimate the allocation of Congressional seats in the Mexican 2012 and 2015 federal legislative elections, using preliminary official data (PREP) the night of the elections. The model (and its results) were used by the news network Milenio the night of the election and, as a result, Milenio was the first network to announce that the PRI would not have absolute majority in Congress in 2012.

Compiled and wrote the Fund’s contribution to the Annual Government Report (Informe de Gobierno), a federal document that compiles the Government’s accomplishments throughout the year.Wrote the CEO’s speeches, including one given in Cancún at the 40th anniversary of the institution, as well as many events with the President of the Republic and the Secretary of Tourism.Designed and elaborated PowerPoint presentations for the CEO’s public events and the Chief of Staff’s meetings with national and international investors.

Revised and edited the speeches prepared for the Secretary’s public appearances. The speeches encompassed all of the areas under the Ministry’s influence, from sports and culture to elementary, secondary, and higher education, as well as relevant issues like drug-addiction.Wrote e-mails, memos, and thank-you notes on behalf of the Chief of Staff and the Secretary.Monitored the rate of implementation of a project to increase community involvement in public schools across Mexico and elaborated weekly progress reports for the Secretary.Managed and monitored the Ministry’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to inform the public about the Ministry’s activities and other issues relevant to the Secretary.
