As a Business Team Manager, I was responsible for managing the Make: brand in Korea (the brand's local license was transferred from Hanbit Media in 2017). This involved setting up editorial guidelines and marketing strategies, organizing events, consulting companies, maintaining corporate partnerships, and looking for business opportunities in areas such as education courses and content development.

As the Chief Content Officer and co-founder of Groundworks Co., Ltd, I was responsible for developing and consulting on content and content businesses. I constructed the business to continue solid projects that were too large to handle on personal level. In charge of developing the Korean local business of Make: (makezine.com) in collaboration with the brand's US headquarters. Responsibilities included:- Promoting the "Make:" brand and fostering the "Maker Movement" in Korea.- Editing Make: magazines and books, and setting editorial directions and guidelines for localizing content.- Organizing and directing Maker Faire Seoul (Korea's largest tech DIY festival) and co-hosting new Make: events with partnered companies.Note : Maker Media (http://makermedia.com) created the original Make: brand. They publish tech DIY books on electronics, robotics, 3D printing, Arduino, and education and host Maker Faires, world’s most popular DIY project showcases. Hanbit Media is their exclusive Korean partner to localize the media and the local business turned a profit in 3 years.

Responsibilities included:- Translating and editing technical articles for "Computer Arts" (licensed, localized Korean monthly magazine).- Evaluating local content to comply with industry standards.- Expanding the translator pool by identifying new talent.
