Job Profile: Accounts Receivable – Cash Application and Journals at ExlAt Exl, I manage key accounts receivable functions, focusing on cash application, journal entries, and account reconciliations. My role ensures that customer payments are accurately processed and reflected in the company’s financial records. This involves applying payments to invoices, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate accounts.I handle a range of payment methods, including checks, wire transfers, ACH, and credit card payments. I work to resolve issues such as unapplied cash and payment discrepancies by collaborating with customers and internal teams. Additionally, I manage journal entries related to customer payments, adjustments, and accruals, ensuring they comply with accounting standards.Reconciliation is another critical responsibility. I reconcile bank statements, AR accounts, and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy. I also work on month-end close activities, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and aligned with financial reporting standards.My role includes improving processes by implementing automation for cash application, optimizing workflows, and standardizing procedures. I contribute to reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and enhancing cash flow management. By maintaining clear communication and accuracy, I ensure Exl’s accounts receivable operations support its financial stability and growth.
