1. Evaluate, plan and implement cabling system products; ensure technologies and products have high competitiveness.2. Direct and formulate technical regulations and specifications.3. Improve the quality of existing laboratory system and process; upgrade to a standardization lab.10. Analysis laboratory data and ensure data and reports are accurate, normalized and reasonable.11. 1. Research, design and develop core connectivity products (jacks, connectors, panels and outlets) to meet existing and future ISO, TIA/EIA standards requirements using RF knowledge, PCB and mechanical design skills.2. Understand in detail the requirements of the relevant standards and maintain technical knowledge and expertise as standards develop.3. Develop and maintain relevant RF design knowledge and skills to ensure an in depth understanding of the parameters which drive performance in connector design.4. Model and simulate component designs as appropriate using connector simulation software to maximise the product performance and minimise development lead time and associated costs.5. Complete lab testing (eg: building of prototypes, lab based performance measures, link and channel configuration and performance testing) to ensure and demonstrate that products as designed meet or exceed the necessary performance specifications.6. Prepare for and complete independent testing (eg: Delta Labs, ETL, etc.) as required.7. Work with other members of the design team (eg: Mechanical Engineering) and other functions (eg: Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality) to deliver effective solutions against a design specification.8. Complete design drawings (eg: PCB CAD), Bill of Materials, test results, assembly instructions and other design documentation as required by the design and quality processes.9. Work with HT Data Purchasing and suppliers to ensure products and components are delivered to specification, on time and in budget.10. Give input to and maintain project plans to enable development projects to be managed and completed on time.11. Attend Quality meetings as appropriate and effect design changes where necessary to address quality issues with existing products.
