In 2003 I founded Earth Greetings - Australia’s original earth-friendly greeting card brand. I am proud that almost 20 years later, we have grown to become one of Australia’s leading sustainable wholesalers of recycled greeting cards and stationery, stocked in over 500 retailers throughout Australia.After growing up surrounded by kookaburras and koalas in the Adelaide foot-hills, I have always held a deep love for Australian nature. I do my best to practice sustainability in my everyday life, living a low-waste, vegan lifestyle and prefer to walk or cycle. I am deeply passionate about the plight of animals and our planet, but always hopeful that by working together we can create change.After working behind the scenes in the publishing industry in my early 20's, I witnessed many wasteful practices first hand. I dreamed of a better way to live and work in ways which were more sustainable. I had a vision: to create a business with a purpose: To tread lightly on the planet and give back to the wild places I love.When I started Earth Greetings almost 2 decades ago, there were very few existing sustainable business models to learn from. But I was determined, and sourced recycled card stock at a time when it was rarely used, and expensive. I found a printer using vegetable inks exclusively.
