Some of the skills I have learned in my role so far include: Deployment of staff, rota, promoting of the nursery, showrounds, monitoring occupancy levels, experienced DSL, cache L3 SENCO through the school of Liverpool delivered by NCC, SEF audits, room walks, monitoring planning and observations, carrying out supervisions, supporting staff, cohort analysis, wellbeing and involvement levels analysis and support, leading staff meetings and training, liaising with other professionals, parent partnerships, leading workshops for parents, PFA and emergency first aid

After just a few months of working for CK I learned many new things within the managerial bracket. I was acting officer in charge when the manager was absent and run all aspects of the nursery whilst she is away. I learned eylog, new registration paperworks, funding, promotions, opening and closing of investigations and have supported with the supervision process. I had recently become a DSL and SENCO for the setting which has been a wonderful step forward for myself. Exploring new challenges daily has kept me motivated to learn more.

I work closely with the nursery manager on a number of projects to further improve the nursery. I have had a key role on the writing of the SEF and the implementation of areas highlighted within this. I have a key role with the writing of EHCPs and IEPs ad have worked closely with multiple external agencies.I have experience of oening/closing, taking payment, filing, writing emails, taking phone calls, booking and leading showrounds and a number of other nursery office jobs.

I have recently been promoted to third in charge. Here I step up to help the deputy and/or manager when the other is not there. I help with the general running of the nursery, SEF, safeguarding, locking and opening the nursery, answering calls, taking payments along with leading my preschool room. It has been interesting getting more involved with the running of the nursery and I am learning more each day.

I am currently the room leader of a small preschool. I have been working to promote EAL within the room and also working to make the most of the space we have. I am currently using iconnect as our learning platform which I have used since the summer of 2014.

I am the room senior of the 2-3 room. I have recently lead changes within our garden space, including sourcing and introducing equipment. I part run a sports activity group for the two year olds called great little movers where we have a different theme each month, including; moving to music, shape&number, rugby, tennis, football etc. I have recently been awarded the million smiles award from the company for the work I have done over the last year (2014) within re nursery and with the children which is a great honour.

Based in the preschool room with 3-5 year olds but I move around where necessary. For example being in the baby room (3 months till walking and stable), the 1-2 room or the 2-3 room. I currently have 11 key children but aim to have bonds with all the children that I come into contact with. Since working here I have had further safeguarding training, as well as first aid training, lettes and sounds phonics training and sing and sign baby signing :-)
