● Daily monitoring of new requirements, delivery changes and keeping marketing/sales team advised of changes that could affect customer on-time delivery ● Reacting to component issues as advised by production floor or incoming QA department ● Managing up to 400 open line items, rescheduling/canceling deliveries as needed per MRP requirements ● Helping incoming QA as needed with inspection of incoming product ● Monthly evaluation of vendor performance● 10 years experience managing MRP share program with Tier-1 supplier ● Keeping informed regarding current market trends ● Securing samples for special projects, prototypes, etc. ● Gathering of spec sheets, mechanical drawings, etc. as needed for new parts ● Quoting parts finding best pricing and availability through approved sources● Return of non-confirming material to vendors, tracking credits and/or replacements ● Sourcing of obsolete parts with knowledge regarding potential non-conforming and/or counterfeit/remarked product from gray market ● Expediting/resourcing long lead time product to meet production needs ● Updating computer information (i.e. vendor information, lead times, pricing, etc.)

● Expediting of incoming parts; notifying buyers, customer service and stockroom of problems ● Updating PO line items with any pertinent information pertaining to shipments ● Backing up other buyers in their absence ● Purchasing of non-inventory items per authorized purchase requisitions
