Direct the overall gas transmission operations, gas compressor stations, gas air blend plants, gas storage fields, and gas control for the company’s gas systems and is accountable for implementation of organizational objectives with an emphasis on employee/public safety and service reliability.

Oversees the strategic planning and budget for Operations organization and have chief of staff responsibilities for the Executive Vice President, Operations. Provides visionary and strategic leadership to the Technical Training, Process Governance & Performance and the Unmanned Aircraft Systems organizations. Serves as an advisor to the EVP, Operations and is responsible to ensure business area remains strategically focused through goal achievement and improvement metrics.

Work in close partnership with all business units to set the strategic direction and lead the implementation of innovation portfolios focused on creating business value. These portfolios will include drones, robotics, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and business process automation. In pursuit of realizing meaningful and lasting business outcomes, focus on ensuring an appropriate level of collaboration effectively optimizing the balance between value, speed, risk, and ability to scale. In addition, lead the Enterprise data governance practice helping ensure Xcel Energy is able to take advantage of all innovation portfolios.
