I launched an exciting language-learning startup. Our app, Vocab Victor, helps English language learners build and strengthen their vocabulary by playing games. I was responsible for every aspect of bringing the product to life including: Finding and hiring programmers and our graphic artist; designing specs for our games and UI; working with back-end team to develop cutting-edge API to generate game content dynamically, collect and organize lexical database of 19,000 words and millions of word matches, designing learner model to track learners' progress and skill level; managing software development by our front-end team; assisting programming of our web dashboard tool for teachers. Additionally I manage all aspects of product marketing including supervising social media team; writing blog posts and building strong SEO; developing and implementing ad campaigns; attending conferences to demo product to teachers.

I am co-owner and business manager for Kent Informatics, a small bioinformatics software company based in Santa Cruz, California. We provide scientists with tools to analyze the human genome, particularly our genome alignment tool BLAT. I maintain our client database, track leads, negotiate and execute new software licenses, and manage renewal orders.
