• Employed my knowledge and understanding of polymer chemistry and synthesis as well extrusion compounding and blending to control polymer material morphologies, resulting in new product developments for the Fluoropolymer Solutions business, primarily in the wire/cable market space• Invented and developed a rheologically modified perfluoropolymer for use in high melt strength applications, such as blow molding• Discovered and worked to commercialize a new nucleating package for foamed perfluoropolymer wire/cable insulation, a product worth over $17MM in revenue • Managed and directed collaborations between business-based research and development group and long-term central research teams focused on development of alternative emulsion polymerization surfactants, viscosity reduction of melt-processible perfluoropolymers, and interfacial compatibilization approaches for perfluoropolymer/inorganic nanocomposites• Single-handedly developed and managed an ongoing training and seminar series program focused on advanced topical education for technical personnel, including establishment of a methodology for authentication-controlled access to business-sensitive course content• Developed an easily-extruded, highly-filled perfluoropolymer compound for use in limited combustible data cabling jacket applications, Smokeguard® FP with DuPont Teflon®• Evaluated the technical feasibility of utilizing post-consumer reclaimed data cable insulation and recommended its usage as data cable spacer, resulting in approximately $1MM revenue• Developed technical expertise in the area of perfluoropolymer nanocomposites and continue as a corporation-wide resource in this area• Participated extensively in business-approved community outreach efforts as a presenter for the plant’s Fun With Science Team, focusing on science enrichment in local K-3 classrooms• Six Sigma Green Belt certified, DMADV trained
