CurrentMy role involves everything from day to day environmental operations, mine closure planning and environmental permitting for new developments. Some of my duties include (but definitely not limited to):- Developing complex regulatory documents including Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans (PRCP's) and EA amendments.- Statutory Reporting under various legislation including EP Act, Water Act and MR Act.-Coordinating routine monitoring onsite including groundwater, dust and surface water.- Developing environmental management plans and procedures.- Improving environmental compliance onsite by introducing a range of initiatives to improve waste management, implement remote monitoring (telemetry) across site, improve waste rock characterisation etc.- Mentoring a small team of environmental advisors to improve skills and confidence.- Developing and implementing scopes of works to engage contractors and consultants to complete work programs on time and within budget.- Engaging with workers to promote environmental awareness through tool box talks and work site inspections.- Engaging with Traditional Owners to ensure the company is meeting it cultural heritage obligations.- Working with landholders to maintain a good relationship and keep them informed of mine planning and future works and opportunities. -Implementing environmental data management improvements including introduction of ESdat onsite and consolidation of historical records into the system.
