My role at Wallis Shipping services has given me the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of skills. Working in a logistics company, communicating with people all over the world is a key aspect of my day to day duties so having proficient verbal and written communication is very important.I import and export commodities to various destinations; overseeing transit whilst complying with international import / export regulations and conventions.

My duties at Colchester Zoo were varied and included a wide range of skills. Customer service skills were a very important aspect of every role and i had to make sure these were met in the varies duties i had to undertake ; including, hosting functions, birthday parties for children, waitressing and managing a small team. A key focus of my work at Colchester Zoo was the orchestration and execution of high level customer service in the Patisserie. In order to do this I had to work closely with other team members and ensure the customer service given was exceptional. I often had to maintain a calm presence during periods of high trade volume. I was able to guide and develop the team with the knowledge I possessed.
