Hello! I’m Heidi, a 2022 graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design. My main passions are graphics, branding, and advertising, and I am a big fan of creating hand-drawn type. I am fascinated with how companies interact with their consumers, and am eager to gain more knowledge in the process. While at Kutztown, I was a part-time design assistant for the university’s marketing department where I created graphics and posters for different programs within the community. I also worked as a student representative for College Town Communities in Kutztown, where I assisted in administrative tasks such as lease audits and created cohesive and informational training guides for all of our branches.During my last semester of college, I had the opportunity to intern at Lehigh Mining & Navigation in downtown Allentown. I worked alongside my mentor to create fun posts for the company’s social media as well as various stop-motion animated quotes.Through both my academic and field experience, I have gained skills in publication layout, branding, and advertising. I can effectively use Adobe programs to create creative and conceptual pieces of work. I like to view each design project as a puzzle. I am thorough and search through many typefaces, colors, and layout options to find the perfect pieces that fit together.I’d like to continue honing my design skills throughout my career in a friendly and creative space that inspires and challenges me.
