At Choctaw Nation, I am responsible for the analysis of our health system’s financial performance and collaboration across multiple teams to optimize revenue, streamline processes, and improve our payer relations. My team and I have worked with cross-functional teams to review departmental performance, create internal benchmarking measurements, review billing and coding practices, and develop reporting capabilities to monitor performance for improved consistency and efficiency. We have created countless operational reports and Power BI dashboards to detail the performance and quality metrics of the hospital departments. Additionally, I manage the operational efficiency of multiple areas within the health system including patient registration, patient benefit coordinators, operational analysts, senior wellness program, contract administration, and tribal sponsorship programs.Choctaw Nation Health Services, located in Talihina, Oklahoma, comprises a 152,894 square foot hospital facility with 44 inpatient beds, as well as eight outlying clinics that provide care to the 10 ½ county service area of the Choctaw Nation.
