The KRA manages the flourishing horse-racing industry in the Republic of Korea. One of the KRA’s foremost objectives is to internationalise the industry and become a global player. My role is to provide strategic raceday counsel to the Stewards Panel with particular focus on proper and consistent interpretation and application of the Rules of Racing; and to advise and assist KRA in developing and delivering world-class integrity, stewarding, health, safety and welfare practices and solutions; commensurate with those of the world’s leading racing authorities and aligned with KRA corporate objectives and community expectations.

 Chaired all MJC race meetings and inquiries; investigated, prosecuted and successfully defended at appeal notable serious racing cases. Oversight of: Stewards Panel, Licensing Matters, Veterinary Department, Official Starters & Barrier Team and Racing Department. Developed a significant number of policies, procedures and guidelines with regard to equine welfare, operations and occupational health and safety. Established strategic partnerships with international racing authorities and initiated selection program for high performance/potential local employees for overseas placement. Delegate 2016 International Stewards Conference & Asian Racing Conference in Mumbai, India.
