I am someone that gravitated naturally to public service. I have always loved problem-solving and helping to make the best use of taxpayer dollars. I’ve been able to do both of these things throughout my career both in the private and public sector.At EY, I was part of the pursuit team that won, what was at that time the largest advisory engagement globally, over $60 million. We helped the Army with financial and system improvements, grew the project five-fold, and successfully won the recompete.At Deloitte, I served as the project manager on an 80-person team that drove financial improvements at a defense agency. We were able to expedite delivery, achieving in 2 years, what we initially planned for 3 years.At the start of my career, I was in oversight a watchdog. First with the GAO as an evaluator and then as a program analyst at the Department of Commerce, Office of the Inspector General. During my time at the Department of Commerce, I was awarded two Silver Medals, the second highest honorary award granted by the Secretary, for exceptional performance characterized by noteworthy or superlative contributions, which have a direct and lasting impact within the Department. I also was awarded three Bronze medals granted by the Inspector General for superior performance.I've worked at multiple agencies and programs, including the Decennial Census, National Weather Service Modernization, National Marine and Fisheries, National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Services, the Army, the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Defense Information Systems Agency. and others. I have experience with formal performance auditing that meets GAO Yellow Book Standards, as well as, compliance and risk assessments and reporting. Essentially, I've had the opportunity to hone my skills in identifying issues impacting some of the most significant government programs, and then working to help solve those problems.
