Being the only person in my immediate family to go to college was an adventure. I quickly realized that I didn't have the knowledge necessary to navigate the higher education ecosystem. Immediately after graduation, I took a role as a financial aid officer. I dreamed of helping others pursue their educational journeys, without accruing an instrumental amount of student debt. Shortly after accepting this role, I was admitted to a master’s program in sociology at The George Washington University. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed the academic side of higher education. I went on to pursue my doctorate and took my initial first academic job teaching as an instructor at the University of South Florida. I absolutely loved collaborating with faculty and spent much of my time designing online learning environments that facilitated student engagement. Supporting students in their academic success is what drives me. Building interactive learning environments that enables higher education to meet students where they are is my passion. To pursue this passion in my everyday work, I accepted a role at Ellucian as a learning experience designer and worked my way up to a Manager of Academic Services. I work with an amazing team of strategic thinkers, creative designers, collaborative partners, and technology gurus. We develop strategic consulting for higher education institutions that want to excel in teaching and learning, diversify pedagogy, and leverage academic technologies to modernize their campuses. We create high-quality, compliant online programs that adapt and respond to the changes in student demographics and the demand for learning anytime, anywhere. We drive student success by operationalizing effective business process.
