As a psychotherapist, I offer clients my clinical knowledge, expertise and experience along with compassion and a deep personal understanding of the healing process. For the past fifteen years, I have provided therapy to individuals, families and groups addressing sadness, loss, depression, stress, fears and anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, and life transition issues. I approach therapy by addressing the unique behavioral, cognitive, and emotional needs and goals of each individual. I provide a safe place for exploring and learning more effective, healthy, and meaningful ways of being.My therapeutic approach is an integration of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology with an understanding of the impact of early childhood experience. I teach practical strategies to calm anxiety, transform difficult emotions, and foster greater self-acceptance. I help people identify, understand and express their thoughts, feelings and needs more effectively. With compassion and empathy, I help people get to the root of unhealthy patterns, heal past wounds and learn adaptive behaviors and means of communicating. It is through the trust and support of the therapeutic relationship that my clients come to develop self-awareness and self-compassion, leading the way to a more fulfilled, satisfying, and peaceful life.
