I am co-owner and Managing Director of Walker Seafoods Australia. We are Australia's largest wild caught tuna/swordfish company in Australia. Our Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Swordfish and Albacore is Marine Stewardship Certified MSC). Our main port for unloading, processing and packaging is Mooloolaba. We are primarily known for producing high quality, export grade product. We own five vessels that unload through our export / processing facility in Mooloolaba. We employ 6 skippers, thirty three crew, a shore based management team including a Fishing Master and a permanent processing / export team.We supply fish throughout Australia and export fresh to the US, Japan and Europe. We have a loyal following of high profile chefs including Tetsuya, Neil Perry, Josh Niland and Matt Moran to name a few. Our fishery is the Eastern Tuna Billfish Fishery (ETBF). The ETBF is a Commonwealth Fishery which is managed by The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA). AFMA is responsible for the efficient management and sustainable use of Australia’s Commonwealth fisheries resources.
