• Design and verification of embedded control software for military jet engine propulsion. • Projects: Pratt & Whitney's F135 engine used to power the latest Joint Strike Fighter which includes 3 variants - Conventional Takeoff and Landing (CTOL), Carrier Variant (CV) and Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL).

• Contributed to the core development of the next generation pressure and acceleration satellites, the crash sensors for airbag deployment in automotive vehicles.• Trained on Lanner Witness simulation software to emulate the production line of the over molded acceleration sensors. The model is employed to evaluate manufacturing process alternatives and optimum manufacturing costs. The model employs extensive use of multi cycle machines and coded logic.• Led a design of experiments project on acceleration sensor prototypes which consisted of: building, programming, environmental testing, functional testing and analysis. 16 variants were tested to determine the optimal combination to exceed solder life reliability requirements. The analysis employed extensive use of Minitab for understanding the data.• Qualified a secondary source for high strength solder (Green Belt Project). The secondary source provides a cost savings and also avoids single sourced risks such as the supplier going out of business, destruction of facility and discontinuation or price increase of material.

• Maintained, debugged and tested software that functionally simulated the hardware of the space Shuttle ground systems and provided support for flight readiness and launch processing. • Thoroughly followed the CMMI level 3 process and waterfall life cycle. This life cycle included: using an engineering assessment tool to determine the time needed to complete the software changes, creating requirements and design documents based off of customer needs, implementing code changes, creating software test plans for unit testing and validation of code, and performing reviews with stakeholders of the requirements/design documents, code and test plan. Milestones were completed error free and on/ahead of schedule to ensure quality of product to the customer.• Completed numerous software changes to successfully improve and upgrade several Shuttle systems for USA System engineers and NASA customers.• Actively participated in the integration and proper system configuration of Shuttle countdown training simulations.• Brainstormed with a team in the development of a Shuttle cockpit display GUI to reduce user error and maximize efficiency during trouble shooting for countdown simulations.• Used Simulink and Matlab, post Shuttle program, to create physical models which simulate the new/modified hardware for ground systems in support of a future vehicle.
