Gift of Darkness: A Memoir is an inspirational story. I’m a survivor of child abuse, I have a mental illness and a mood disorder, I’m an alcoholic, and I have an eating disorder. Nonetheless, I am a relatively happy person living an exceptionally healthy life. I hope my story will really help a lot of people.I haven’t always lived a healthy life, but I have always lived an interesting one. As a small child, I could see into the spirit realm. When I was in middle school, my brother was a neo-Nazi skinhead, and my best friend had multiple personality disorder.I went to college at UC Berkeley, and the experience was psychedelic. I’m queer, and in college I organized a group called Fluid for people like me who don’t fit into conventional categories of sexuality and gender. I became a radical activist, and after college I made a living as a nude model. When I couldn’t model anymore, I lived at a Buddhist meditation center for several months. I later moved to New York to be a saleslady at a tech startup that would become a household name; you probably have the app on your phone right now.My writing is unabashedly, gut wrenchingly honest, and I’m really funny. The book isn’t available for purchase quite yet, because it isn’t finished. I’m in the semi-final stages, and I’m hoping to release it over Amazon before the holiday season. Please connect with me if you'd like to receive occasional updates on the book's progress. Thank you!
