My career spans 25 years of experience related to scientific research in Canada and abroad. Formerly a PhD researcher in the field of physics, I have devoted the last 13 years to optimizing the programs and policies driving major Canadian investments in research infrastructure. I have developed a keen interest in all aspects regarding the funding and management of international, large-scale research infrastructure. I have managed the CFI’s Major Science Initiatives, to which I am now an Advisor, and have participated in different capacities in several OECD’s Global Science Forum Expert Groups on topics related to Research Infrastructure. My former research activities led to the publication of several publications in the areas of laser-matter interactions, laser fusion, ultrafast lasers, attosecond science and laser-based terahertz sources. I hold a PhD in Physics from École Polytechnique in France. I am also living with metastatic breast cancer and looking to help others sharing this predicament to come to peace with the uncertainty facing our well-being and survival.
