I trained in hair and beauty at the London College of Fashion, winning the 'Student of the Year' award in 1984. I went on to win the 1988 London Livewire competition and secure 3i investment for a small manufacturing operation that I had set up at my kitchen sink.As my beauty career progressed, I spent 15 years in NPD, Sales and Marketing positions with manufacturers and brand owners.I am an active member of several industry associations, including the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, the British Society of Perfumers and Cosmetic Executive Women.I have supported Look Good Feel Better for many years in my role as Regional Coordinator. Look Good Feel Better works to boost the physical and emotional wellbeing of people living with cancer. They provide advice and workshops on important topics for those undergoing treatment, such as skincare, make-up, hair loss and wig advice.
